Gabriella and everyone else,

Thank you so much for making us aware there are some not so nice people out there who are bashing us and saying rude things. As God would want us to turn our cheeks, we still need to band together and watch out for everyone's safety. We would never do anything to hurt, cheat or steal from anyone as I am sure you all know that. People have sent us bad comments saying we are stealing people's hard earned money, which is downright ridiculous. I had such a hard time posting our troubles to be as real as I can be to everyone who cares with the intent of finding a direction to take my family out of financial strain, which in no way did I ask people for money as it was suggested to do a trust fund or paypal donation. People even asked if they could do something for our kids beyond what was given to us financially and all we did was accept their generosity by telling them our kids Christmas wishes. We apologize if that offends anyone.

I figured if people wanted our address bad enough, they would find it. So, we didn't think it would be a big deal posting it on the site. I guess we were wrong since people are posting it to do harm to us and to be honest, Aimee and I are very frightened that someone would go to that extent.

This is not the worries we need to have on Christmas and the only thing I can blame it on is the devil, but we are not going to stoop to any bad persons level and let them get the best of us. We are going to forgive them as they do not know our wonderful God and we can only pray one day they will.

Please pray for those people who are being rude and keep track of all of those who are saying these nasty things so we can prepare ourselves if something bad were to happen.

Thank you all! Merry Christmas and God Bless,

Adam & Aimee :)

I can't even begin to tell you how deeply your little Kayleigh touches me. My preemie was in the Level 2 Nursery for 8 days and they were the longest of my life. I'm sure that would be a walk in the park to you!

My heart aches for all you're going through and sings at the great faith your are showing. I pray that you continue to feel angels administering to you and to your entire family.

God Bless you all this Christmas.
May you trust in Him with all your hearts. No matter what, know that He loves you and you are so very precious to him.

Look at all the lives your sweet baby has touched. She reminds us all of what matters most. Come what may, she already serves an amazing purpose. I wouldn't wish this on anyone, but since it is anyway, what an extra blessing her every breath is. Adam, Aimee, I wish you a normal boring ordinary day. Sometimes there's nothing better.

Merry Christmas to you! I am so happy to read your updates and I am praying for you and so are my little girls! We are hurting financially so sadly we can't afford to get bracelets right now, we have had our own medical issues this past year but nothing compared to you. Anyways, I hope you don't mind but I wrote a post about your blog on mine so that i can hopefully get people I know to read yours and pray for your family. Please contact me at if you prefer I take it down. I think if you click on my pic to this or my name it will take you to my blog or something like that. Anyways, I just want to share your story, strength, courage, and precious little miracle and how God has taken you through this. I pray for you guys and thank you for sharing your story

Praying for your safety and rebuking the enemy that thrives on bringing destruction to such a miraculous Godly thing. Posting addresses, sadly, is dangerous. We have not done so either. It's sad it has to be done that way, but this is a world of sin. I think if you do paypal, you don't have to worry about your address. I hope I am correct in this. Anyway, praying for your family and your financial freedom. We know just how it feels to have these struggles as we are also struggling with Veiyah's hospital stay, surgeries and funeral costs for our sweet Aderah. God has shown us Himself through so many awesome people and we continue to find ourselves beyond blessed. I pray this for you as well. God Bless~

FREEMAN FAMILY---MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! I know that you are having one happy morning knowing that your precious MIRACLE is waiting for you to visit. I'm sure Santa was good to Allyson and Brandon and I'm sure he left a little something for Kayleigh, too! Once again, thank you so much for sharing your journey with us!!!

Merry CHRISTmas!

**Unfortunately some people aren't happy with their own lives so they feel the need to make others miserable, too. You KNOW that there are many of us good folks out here that are 100% genuine and caring. You NEVER, EVER asked for anything except advice,,we ALL know that--it's in plain english on your blog! WE, the genuine people, offered prayers and those that could offered up our offerings!

I PERSONALLY asked what I could do for your other two WONDERFUL kids whose hearts must be scared and a bit broken, to say the least! I offered this out of the kindness of my heart--plain and simple.

Good morning Freemans and Merry Christmas! You need to ignore all the rude people out there and just know that you guys are loved and have touched people all over the world by sharing Kayleigh's story. If they didn't want to send money, they wouldn't. We could all be in your shoes at any time. Right now you just need to get Kayleigh better and not have the extra stresses to worry about.

Merry CHRISTmas!!

I don't know what evil has come your way, but I guess God was getting too much glory, so satan had to step in and try to do exactly what the Bible says he will do, and that is to steal, kill, and destroy.

Don't allow satan to steal your joy and rob you of your Christmas blessings on this special day. You know from where your blessings and gifts come, and the only one that deserves praise for that is Jesus! Satan will sneak in any little way he can, and he knows our weak areas. You are doing the right thing to expose him and his workers, and let it be known for what it is. We will pray for a hedge of protection around each of you, your property and your possessions, so that the angels of God are protecting you that no harm or evil will get to you.

Trust God. He is our Protector, Healer, Great Physician, our All in All, and the only One who deserves credit and praise for the miracles that we have seen happen with Kayleigh.

Don't waste time on the workers of iniquity, just praise God for what He continues to do in your lives. If you give credence to this, satan will win by turning your hurt into bitterness and resentment. Don't go there.

Enjoy your CHRISTMAS Miracles!

Love and Hugs,

Wow, sometimes the world of blogging amazes me. It is so sad people feel they should make you feel bad for what you did. Our heart goes out to you guys. You have enough on your plate without worrying about mean blog comments. Concentrate on the beautiful little girl you have, and know that you have so many people in your corner supporting you, praying for you, and sending you positive energy!!

Our son did 72 days in NICU and it was tough. Suddenly you don't have the same income and trying to cope with day to day life while caring for a sick child is not easy (not to mention you have 2 other kids at home!!).

Have a very Merry Christmas and I hope little Kayleigh has another good/quiet day for you guys!!

Dear Freeman family,

Every morning when I wake up, I check on Kayleigh. God Bless her. All of you are always in my prayers. Adam I have created a cause on Facebook for Kayleigh. I am trying to spread the word to get her lots of prayers. I also was hoping some of those people would donate some money. I am so sorry that you have received such heartless comments, etc. I am in shock. I just can't believe someone would do that. I am so sory that happened. I did not see the comments, but if I were in your shoes I would contact the police and make them aware. That way they can patrol your neighborhood. God Bless you. I will continue to pray and support your family in any way possible.

Merry Christmas Freeman Family!! Happy 1st Christmas Kayleigh!! My family was asking about you all last night at our Xmas eve dinner and I was soooo happy to give them the great news and ask that they continue to pray for you all.

How could anyone look at this sweet girl and say anything horrible about her or her family?!? This is ridiculous and so sad for them to have nothing to be greatful for in their own lives that they must worry and come down on others. We are all adults and we choose to give or not. No one can make us do something our hearts already want us to do. Even if we cant give in money or gifts we give in spirit and words and that can be just as powerful!

We love you. We pray for a most miraculous day! Merry Christmas!!

Please know that Baby Kayleigh is in my family's prayers everyday. Your whole family is. We have been truly blessed in hearing the miracles that God is wprking in your precious daughter's life.

I am so sorry that people are being rude and nasty. It has been my experience that in situations where God's is working most is when the devil attacks the hardest.

Keep the faith, and stay strong. Thank you for allowing us to share in this journey with you.

Lord...please know how much you are loved by soooo many people that you have never even met. Your family is such an inspiration, and you have been placed right where you are so that God could bless lives with your journey with precious Kayleigh. Unfortunately, Satan is very good at using people to do his work. He wants to detroy any good that God has done through you, and he CAN'T! He knows that your lives belong to Christ, and that Kayleigh has and will do amazing things for Jesus. Any one that can help you guys out financially or otherwise should do so, because helping your family in Christ is what Jesus wants us to do. Do not feel anything but grace and peace and joy for all things that God has blessed you with. We love you guys. I am so thankful that you have taken this extremely challenging and at times, heartbreaking times to show the love and mercy of Christ. You guys are nothing short of amazing, just as Kayleigh is nothing short of a miracle. Are you going to elevation Sunday? If so, which service are you going to? We are in town, and are going to try to go to one service there, but we are also going to a service at another church. I've got to email Ferris and Wade and see which service they are going to. Let me know. Don't let yourself get down about this. "He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion!"

It is truly unfortunate that people feel the need to be judgmental, negative and hurt other people! It just makes me so sad! I just think some people have nothing better to do then bad mouth and hurt others. These individuals are probably hurting deep inside and feel better by putting others down.

Don't allow them to steal your joy and your faith in others. There are many many more people out there that care deep down for you then those who feel the need to be mean.

I do agree though that it is important to not post your address. I refuse to give out personally information like that, as I have had terrible experiences.

Praying for you guys and rejoicing in a Christmas miracle! Praying for those out there that feel the need to hurt you. May God bless you and them!

Merry Christmas or as my 4 year old son says," Happy Birthday, Jesus!" Too cute:) We are celebrating our own 1st Christmas with our little miracle daughter. She was born with a severe heart defect called HLHS and just because she has to be a diva she also has coronary sinusiod fistulas. A condition that has never been documented before except on autopsy in the 1960's. She spent 23 days on ECMO, 4 months on a vent(half of that time was spent on a Jet vent for preemies due to severe lung damage), dialysis, 2 open heart surgeries, lost toes due to micro clots and a g-tube and Nissan surgery. Total time in the cardiac intesive care unit- over 7 months. Needless to say she is not supposed to be here either but she is and she's beautiful :) She is almost a year old and she coos(says mama and dada), smiles, laughs, rolls over, sits up,claps, plays with toys, loves to be the center of attention and is horribly spoiled, of course. At 11 months she is the youngest of 5 children ages 11 yrs, 10 yrs, 4 yrs and 2 yrs old. We do not regret the sacrifice we all made to give her the chance to live and live well. Every moment spent was a gift that only parents of medically fragile infants know too well. Cherish today and trust in Him. He never fails.

Aimee and Adam,
I am so sorry that you have to deal with such mean people on Christmas day of all days! I am glad though that you removed your home address from your site after hearing about these other sites and how they have gone ahead and posted your older childrens' full names and photos and address. It scares me to think that the internet can be used for such hateful and dangerous crimes against innocent people. That is why my husband never allows me to post pictures of our childrens' faces with our full name and address on the internet. Too many scary incidents and now I am scared for you, Aimee and the childrens' safety! Can you maybe contact the local police to make them aware that your childrens' safety has been compromised now that all their information has been posted along with their photos online? Please keep us posted! We are praying for your safety! I am just sick over this! Just because you asked for donations to help your family, now you have to deal with this dangerous situation! It's so unfair to such nice decent people like you!!
Please go and visit your miracle baby today and delight in the best gift ever, your miracle daughter!! No money donations gifts can compare to Miss Kayleigh's good health!

Adam and Aimee: MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas Day!

If you begin to read a comment and it is sounding rude, instantly delete it and don't give the author the power to make you upset or bothered. The internet can be a scary place and there are lots of weirdos out there. But it can also be a huge blessing and the best source to share your story and to obtain all the prayers and support you can. You need your blog and you just have to dismiss anyone who tries to say anything negative because you are right, it is just the devil trying to steal your joy.

We all know what kind of people would send rude comments -- ones with some major personality problems and ones who definitely need prayers.

I will just pray that you are shielded from comments that will hurt. It angers me that anyone would send anything hurtful to you and your family. It baffles me why people are that way.

Enjoy your Christmas miracle! As we all know, she is an incredible blessing to all. Merry Christmas again!

You guys are awesome!

Hello, my name is Diane. I've been reading about Kayleigh for a bit now..just never wrote anything. Also, I have been praying for her, you and all your family.
I can somewhat relate to what ur going thru. I have son, Landon. He will be 5 months old on the 28th! Landon was born at full term by c section. During pregnancy, nothing was wrong..When he came out, a lot of things were. He had a hard time breathing, retracting severly.. Also, he's small, and he might have some dwarfism. Landon was also born with one kidney..and had had vascular ring repair, kidney surgery, g-tube put in, nissan, tracheostomy in, and he was in the hospital for 2 LONG months... i couldnt imagine being there longer. I PRAYED ALL THE TIME... it brought me closer to God.. Like i said Landon came home when he was 2 months old.. He is on a ventilater, has the trach.. and is finally off the oxygen! :) I know EXACTLY what you mean about desating. When Landon was in the hospital, if he was agitated a lot he would desat, and they would have to bag him...a lot.. there were so many times, where i cried.. I actually thought in one point, i wouldnt bring him home. With so many desats, bagging, ups, and downs... Then with sooo many prayers, and thru God, he got better, and finally came home with us. He's still on a vent but the doctors said, as Landon grows he would eventually get off of the vent and the trach, and the feeding tube. I THANK GOD EVERDAY for my son, for Landon being home with me, for Landon doing so very well, and I thank Him for being with us.
I will continue to keep Kayleigh and all of you in my prayers. God Bless!

Merry Christmas! Kayleigh's story amazes me. Thank you for giving the glory to God. So many people these days want to pretend God doesn't exist and say "it was chance" or "it was the doctors, the medicine, the technology". Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing your story.

I'll be praying for your family's safety as well as Kayleigh's continued growth, increased health and strength.

I can only imagine how difficult it must have been to ask complete strangers for money, if they want to help. There's no pressure to donate, you aren't begging, so I don't understand what the problem is. In these difficult times, with a difficult economy I can't imagine how you are coping.

Keep your faith. I think I've written enough. :)

Maybe you can get a job now so that your wife can feel free to spend all her time with Kayleigh at the hospital. Actually, both of you could be working at least part time to make ends meet now...while the nurses are taking care of your baby 24/7. This is the time to sack away the funds before Kayleigh gets home. There is no reason to ask for donations on your site, and risk getting crazy people sending you boxes with bombs or whatever it is they are saying they want to do to your children..(i only read part of it on one site, before it disgusted me so much that i closed the site) Anyway, personally I wouldnt take the chance on people I don't know sending me stuff through the mail to my home..too many nuts out please please be cautious! Money can make some lose sight of safety.

Everyone on here is right, give your troubles over to God, including the financial struggles, He will provide, we have seen it so many times in our own lives. Since you have such a strong community of Christian support I wanted to ask for a prayer request for my little 1 year old nephew. He was admitted to the hospital tonight with a 104 degree fever, pnuemonia & his oxygen levels dangerously low. Please say a quick prayer that God will lay his hands on our precious Jayce & heal him. God bless you guys for what you have created on here. What an awesome way to show God's power and Spirit and bring people together united in prayer for one another & for your sweet Kayleigh! People can be so cruel sometimes and that only shows the work of satan. Trust in the Lord and he will get you through this. No one ever felt obligated to donate to you guys people did because they truly love your family. You guys NEVER asked for any money or donations it was simply asked by other bloggers if something could be set up so we could donate if we wanted to do that. You simply asked for prayers and any information people have available to help with financial issues. The people making rude comments and posting horrible things will have to meet their Maker one day. I can only hope and pray that they will find Christ and learn what an awesome God we serve. I am just so sorry that you have to go through this on Christmas of all days. Please rejoice in your children, Aimee, and Kayleigh and do not let hurtful people bring you down. I hope you had a very Merry Christmas and that you got to spend some great time with family, friends, and of course our very special Kayleigh. Please stay safe God will provide his angels of protection. Like others have said contact your local police station and let them know to patrol your area and keep you guys safe.

I have been out of the loop for the last week or so, i ended up needing to go int the hospital and have surgery. I had a friend watch your site for me so that I could know how little Kayleigh was doing. I am now recovering from surgery and was reading this about mean people. Unfortunately they are everywhere.
I just wanted to suggest that you report anything to the local authorities and also report their sites to the host of that site; ie; @yahoo, @blogspot, If the material is offensive or could bring danger to your family the host will take it down. I will pray for your families safety and am glad that I have never happened upon any of these sites, all I have seen is support for your family. We do not have the money to give, but we can always pray for you and give advice when needed. I never once felt pushed to donate to your family.

Dear Freeman Family,
I am in awe of your story about your little fighter, Kayleigh. As I lay in bed Christmas Eve, I had two thoughts: one was to try to reach out to everyone I know about Kayleigh's story. I figure if this is a story God wants others to know, lets GET The STORY OUT QUICK! That way, Kayleigh can get better QUICK and be home! Since Kayleigh's story has inspired so many to reach for their own children for that extra hug, I guess Kayleigh has a lesson to teach the whole world. What a unique role God has given you to be her parents!
I have a son who is turning 2, and he is most likely the only child I may have. I've been sad about this, until I read Kayleigh's story. Now, I am so happy with what God has given me. If he is the only child I will ever have, then let it be so. Kayleigh has filled my heart with so much love and compassion and genuine LOVE FOR OUR AWESOME GOD!
The 2nd thought I had last night was that today is our Lord's birthday. As I envisioned Mary holding her new infant son, a baby in a manger, filled with new life; I also envisioned Kayleigh being filled with new life. I envisioned her healed with God's precious touch. It was a sort of meditation that went on in my head, that ran many times over today in my heart today. At Mass today, I quickly thanked God for what I have, then went on and on about Kayleigh. I know HE was listening. He has a plan.
As for the rude comments you have gotten; I do not understand how the world is made up of the kind of people who write to you with nothing but love and compassion, and then the kind of people who read your story and then tell you things to try to make you feel miserable. Why is this? What makes people react to your story in two very different ways? I am speechless.
One thing I know for certain, today is Jesus' birthday. My heart is filled because of this and because Kayleigh is still here with you!
Much love to you all.

For goodness sakes! Tell those bad people to go play under a bus! They are #1) Jealous that you are getting attention and #2) upset that they aren't receiving any money.
Too bad for them. You are truly in need and deserve the help you are receiving. Concentrate ONLY on your little peach and no one else!
Big hugs,
Lisa, your Realtor friend in Chicago.

Your story has touched our lives, we have had a baby in the hospital very sick, and then one in the NICU for 10 days, I can't imagine what it is like. I know that for 5 days after his birth he was sedated and we weren't able to touch him. It was so hard. I look forward to reading your blog every night before I go to bed, and I even update my husband. Thank you for sharing your story with us and our family. It means alot to us. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!!! We will continue to keep Kayleigh in our thoughts and our prayers.

I'm so sorry people were bashing you. I tell you what, I am a hard worker and I am raising 4 children on my own (ages 14yrs to 1 year old) and I couldnt provide Christmas this year, so my family was adopted by the kids school. It was done annynomous, but I feel that I didnt take from anyone else...the money was all donated by other families that had a little to spare. If i were in a position to donate to you guys i would and I may in the future as a pay it forward kind of thing.

I know first hand how hard it is to express the need for assistance/help....but don't stress about it. The people that helped/help WANT TO HELP. It's simply out of LOVE.

You guys are doing great. Don't let a couple bad comments get you down.
