3/12/09 - Thoughtful Thursday

The last two weeks, we have received 11 entries or less. I would like to double that this week. Who's in???
This has been on very exciting week for the Freeman family and we are happy to share our third "Thoughtful Thursdays" event with you. We will be doing this every week and we would love for everyone to join in and do something nice for someone out there.

This week, Nutty Mom is in our spotlight for her "Thoughtful Thursdays" kind gesture. Read it here: NuttyMom

Okay, here is how our "Thoughtful Thursdays" works.

You all are going to go out in to this crazy world and do something EXTRA nice for someone else. You can do something nice for someone you love, someone you don't love, or someone you you have never had the chance to love and come back here to share about it each and every Thursday.

God has shown Himself through Kayleigh and we need to glorify Him in all that we do. We need to touch other people with our kindness and spread the love of God with Kayleigh's story to everyone we possibly can. When you deliver your good deed to someone, let them know that they were touched by Kayleigh and share her website with them, so they too can join in on Kayleigh's journey and our "Thoughtful Thursdays" to glorify God.

NOW...You you have got to think outside the box and come back and share it with us and the world. Be creative and make your stories stand out. You never know, you may win a creativity award and get recognized for ALL to see.

This week, I wanted to turn the tables a little and share with you all something that has been going on for the past couple months that ended in success the other day. Rachel and Ryan put together a Preemie Onesie Drive where they donated over 220 outfits, 200 hats and 100 booties to the NICU's in around Charlotte, NC. Since they could only drop off so many of the items to the NICU, Rachel has to come back every 3 months to deliver more. It was was a wonderful thing they did and we are so touched by their generosity. I had the pleasure in finally meeting face to face with Rachel and Nikki when they came to drop off the outfits. If you haven't read Rachel and Ryan's stories, click here to read about her beautiful Angels: Carly and Hannah
Okay, now it's YOUR turn to share your story.

I am a newer reader. I am a first time poster. But your story just inspires me and shows me how many great and wonderful people are out there. Thank you so much for being such a great encouragement. And I even decided to start participating in Thoughtful Thursday.

I won't bore everyone with the details, but I found a way to help a great charity and give 3 deserving teachers a break from the classroom routine at the same time.

I am a cna and I am taking care of this little lady in her home and she has been needing someone to stay with her and that is what I have been doing. She is a very nice little lady and every morning that I go home she tells me thank you and that she loves me It makes me sad because I go home but I know she is going to be ok. I go back everyday and stay with her. She also have knee replacement surgery about a moth ago and that is why I am staying with her. I just wanted to share with you all about my Thursday. I will also keep you Kayleigh and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

It has been a while since I have stopped by. I have to confess that I have so many sites that I check that I often don't remember without the email reminder of a new post.

I am sooo glad that Kayleigh is doing well! God is soo good!!!

I just wanted to say HELLO and tell you that we have been praying for Kayleigh from the beginning!

You two seem to be doing a fabulous job learning all this medical lingo. You never imginge having a child premature, sick, or living in ICU for days on end. We are given a bit more strength to get through it though.

We too know the financial struggles that come along with it. Our house is too in foreclosure and our bank was generous enough to do a forbearnace for 6 months at $500/mo. Have you tried anything like that?? I'm sure you have, but I just wanted to let you know they're trying to help people that legitimatly need help.

Our son was born last year with 1/2 a heart. A couple major open heart surgeries later, he now is waiting for a new angel heart. But first, he has chemo to attempt to lower his antibodies so he won't reject that precious new heart. Such a rollercoaster.

You and Aimee's continue to inspire me and I'm sure many others. Keep up the strength, Kaliegh is such a precious gift from God. She's lucky to have you!!

HUGS to you.

Your little Kayleigh is absolutly adorable. I definitely want to start doing the "Thoughtful Thursdays". :) I think its a great idea. :) One thing I do once a week that im going to bump up to another two days a week, is I volunteer at a local Childrens Hospital here in WA. I get to hold little ones, and play games with children that are in-patients. Well, I hope everythings going well. :) Im praying for Kayleigh

We are still praying and will keep doing so for you! so many little ones precious and sick in this world, they all need so many prayers. don't worry too much about her sight and hearing, God gave her two parents like you and amy for a reason. you were just what she needed, and you will help her fulfill the life God has in store for her with great dignity and love.
