3/29/09 - Surgery Updates on Facebook/Twitter
If you have not signed up to follow me on Twitter, do so as I will be updating the surgery tomorrow and future posts. The link to get to Kayleigh's Twitter page is here: Kayleigh Freeman
The great thing about it is you can set your cell phone up to get a text message from me every time I tweet. I update Twitter and Facebook whenever I submit a new post anyhow, so it may be good to add Twitter so you know when a new post arrives. This will keep you from watching the blog roll to see who submitted new posts.
If you don't want to add the text messages to your phone (which you aren't required to when you sign up for a Twitter account) just go over to the right tool bar, a little ways down and you can see the updated tweets. I will be updating often tomorrow throughout the surgery to give you all updates as I get them. This will keep me from lugging my computer around to post every time I get some news. I can tweet from my cellphone, so it is as easy as that.
Also, if you would like to get more involved with the blog, following us on Twitter and Facebook is going to be key because I plan on doing more updates throughout the day. I may not only update about Kayleigh, but the rest of the family too which include interesting facts about us all. I want to get to know you all as well, so if you see something you want to share with us, you can respond to each individual tweet/update on our Facebook page.
I look forward to giving you all some wonderful updates tomorrow. Please pray over Kayleigh and the doctors that this will be a complete success so Kayleigh can work towards a quick recovery.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
God Bless,

I sit here just wanting to cry as my heart breaks for them not being able to move forward with the surgery. I can only imagine how you two must be at this point. We jsut have to hang on and know that GOD is truley in control and has a reason for all of this that we may not can see nor understand. Just hold her and kiss her and we will all pray and I know she will be fine. It is true that Kayleigh does everything on her time and appartantley this was not her time for this today. Hopefully it can be done this wk though :) We love you guys so much. Hang in there.
Hi, we've been following for a while now. My dauhter born 4 months early had the same tummy issues always bloated always big!Always distended! Her tummy didn't actually go down for months after she left the NICU. She still to this day has pooping issues(she 18 months now). She was on continous feeds for almost 3 months which seemed to help, but everytime they would switch or add more it would happen all over again.Don't know if any of this helps but I'll keep praying have they tried reglan to keep her bowels moving..it didn't help Gianna but who knows. The only med that worked for her is when she was on an antibiotic. To this day still when she is placed on an antibiotic the poo flows freely. I'll keep prayin both for Kayleigh and for the doc's and nurses. Also are they sure she's not just swallowing air from her trach. lots of luv, Nina and baby G

still praying for Kayleigh that the distention will cease!
Praying for Kayleigh!!! =0)
I'm new to your blog but I am shocked and awed by Kayleigh's fight. What a girl!
I'm the mama of a 1 lb. 15 oz. baby girl (who is now 8 and in excellent health). I experienced some of the same challenges but Kayleigh makes my tiny Bethany seem absolutely Herculean.
I am praying that you will have the best outcomes for Kayleigh. We did the Hernia repair surgery on Bethany's twin brother, Logan. It's so frightening for the family but I'm sure Kayleigh will do what she does- amaze everyone with her strength and resilience. Best wishes to you all.
Sending prayers.
an extra prayer going out to you and kayleigh. May she recover quickly from what ever she has, I know the issue of the belly blowing up and having to stop feeds, we battled this for about 5 weeks, then it cleared up and we have not had her belly blow up since, we now just have weight issues and she is just barely growing. She went 3 weeks and only gained 3 oz. uug.
Beautiful pictures. Praying hard for your little girl
Best Wishes Kayleigh! Go get 'em!
What a doll!! I check on Kayleigh's Blog everyday!! I have never loved a baby that I had never met, until now!!! Kayleigh just has that gift!! She captures my heart and so many others. God love her!!
What happened to your "The Doctors" Post?????
Mcabemadness - The producers wanted me to take it down since it is still early and they haven't even taped yet.
It makes since because anything can happen between now and then, so I pulled it to post more about it later.
I will update more on it later on :)
Thanks,
Adam
