2:03pm - Please pray this recovery is quick so she can get back to normal. It's hard to see her like this. She has 6 more scars to tell her story.

I have been following your story for a short time now. Glad to read that Kayleigh is doing pretty well after the surgery. Would you please change your blog so that it shows the current date and time that you posted your updates? That would make it easier for planning when in particular to pray. Thanks!

I will never forget the frustration and fear that I experienced when Elijah had his last surgery in the NICU before coming home. He had surgery at 3 days old for NEC, he had a colostomy for over 3 months, the second surgery was to take the colostomy down and repair his bowells. It was hard seeing him on a vent again, he was swollen. By that point I was so ready to go home and the only thing keeping him there was recovery and of course we had to get him restarted on his feeds. I can remember going to the Ronald Mcdonald House after seeing Elijah and shutting myslelf in my room and crying for a few hours. I was all alone, 12 hours away from my husband, my home, and my other children.
God answered our prayers, after a rough few days Elijah really took off, he was eating 10 mls from a bottle just a week after surgery! We were able to go home about a month after surgery. The only negative was that though he had graduated to room air, Elijah did not come off the oxygen after his surgery, we brought him home on oxygen, and finally got him off of it after being home a couple of months. I know Kayleigh will begin to mend and you will be taking her home soon, I pray for a very fast recovery! God bless you and your miracle.
