For those who did not see my Tweet on Twitter or Facebook yesterday, Kayleigh's biopsy came back NEGATIVE for Hirschsprung's Disease. WOO HOO! We will still have to keep our eyes out and figure out what is going on with her belly, but this is a step in the right direction. Many of you posted comments on other possibilities, so we will be bringing those up to the doctors on Monday. Thank you so much!!!
On another great note, one of our primary nurses (possibly two now) will be part of the staff that will take care of Kayleigh when she comes home. We are so pumped and excited to hear that. It will make this transition that much easier and exciting. We love our nurses so much that we were afraid of having to get to know and love someone new, so it is a blessing that we will have couple that already know Kayleigh really well and can be a strong advocate for her.
Many of you know that having a new nurse or a nurse that doesn't know your child can be the most stressful part of the NICU, especially when you have been there for quite some time. So this is by far some of most exciting news we have gotten in a while. It feels like so much weight has been lifted off our shoulders.
On the other hand, many of you asked about our home and how that situation is going. We met with United Family Services and they were able to help us extend our foreclosure from March 29th to April 27th. The bank has agreed to look at our information to offer up a possible solution, but Aimee and I feel they won't make much of a change for us. But, at least we were able to stick it out for another month. The donation money was not able to help us catch back up what the bank needs, so we felt our best option was to make sure our family's insurance will not lapse and our on;y vehicle can get us around for work. If the bank doesn't come up with a good option for us, we may have family who will allow us to pack in their home, but I will let you know that later when the details are more concrete.
Please pray that things go well this week. The surgeries are going to be Tuesday or Wednesday, but I will let you all know the second I find out. Keep up with Twitter and Facebook because sometimes I will update there first. Thank you all for your resent prayers because God was certaily listening :)
I hope everyone is having a blessed weekend.

That is GREAT news re: Negative Pathology Report AND Nurse(s) will be there to care for Kayleigh AND that You're able to stay in the house another month! I pray that the bank will work with you so you can stay permanently ~ Or another place of your own! I'm curious to know the amount of the back loan on the house... perhaps if you give an amount, a miracle will happen!!!

So glad to hear that the tests are negative! Praise God! Having a nurse be helping with Kayleigh at home is just wonderful news and you can breath of sigh of relief for that. You will know she is in familar and comfortable hands. I pray God opens up new opportunities for Kayleigh's health to improve and to find a solution for your home situation. Keeping you in my thoughts...
The 27th is my birthday- best gift I could wish for is finding out that you guys get to keep your house!!!!!!! hang in there we are praying *big hugs*
Praise GOD!!! Kayleigh will enjoy having nurses she knows as well as her parents. It is not only tough on the parents, but the child who has to go through the transitions as well. When a baby is in the NICU as long as Kayleigh, it is hard to let go of them because the nurses are attached and in LOVE as much as the parents. Praise God for the nurses who are willing to follow Kayleigh when she goes home.
Oh Adam...what wonderful news!!! GOD hears our prayer's ALL the time! We just have to be patient...and let HIM do HIS work...in HIS time! Getting to have 2 of the same nurses...WoW...GOD is soooo good! Have a spectacular GOD filled week...we will continue to pray for Kayleigh Anne...she is such a little Angel!

This is just wonderful news!!! I am so glad that some of her NICU nurses will be taken care of her and maybe more will be able to help as well. I am praying for everything to go well with the upcoming surgeries and the house situatuion as well. Looking forward to more wonderful updates soon.
Great news Adam! I was praying that she would be negative and not require yet another surgery!
I think its wonderful that your nurses can also work in your home! How is that possible? Are they quitting their regular jobs?
God bless kayleigh and this new bit of gooooood news!! yay!
I would like to humbly ask you to pray for a dear friend of mine. She is a young Christian single mother who is facing a horribly painful and difficult decision now regarding her unborn baby girl. I figured you could extend your prayers to her and provide her with some hope and moral support as a fellow Christian parent.
Thank you for thinking of her. She has prayed for your Kayleigh for many months now as well as us and she would appreciate it if you could pray for her too.
God bless you Adam and Aimee.

I've been following your blog for a while, but this is the first time I've had a chance to comment. I'm so glad to hear that the test was negative! Definitely still praying for your little girl and the rest of your family!
Glad to hear that Kayleigh has NO HD! PRAISE GOD! Our daughter was born with VACTERLS association and had no anus so we dealt with a colostomy for almost two years. It was no fun but we did it.
As far as gut things... our daughter has a large portion of her transverse colon that is just dead. We have chosen to leave it in vs taking it out because eventually she will "grow into it" but as of now she has a lot of issues with colonic motility and pseudo obstruction.
There is a world of motility issues that are in and of themselves. Our daughter sees Dr. Ajay Kaul in Cincinnati. He is one of a very FEW motility specilists in the world... NOT a normal GI. If I were you I would try and find a motility person somewhere near you and meet with them ASAP. For us the g-tube feeds, Elecare formula, and a combo of meds has helped to control the gut.
Praying for Kayleigh every day!
From Kyleigh's family in Kentucky.... many hugs and prayers!

Praise God on all your good news for today!!! I am praying for your house and that the bank will suprise you with great options!!
Heard the news on Twitter and was so relieved. continuing to pray for you all...praying that the bank will come up with a doable solution :)
praying! so glad for the great news on the biopsy! Kayleigh pulls through strong again! she's such a fighter!
I am so happy for you!!!! The lord really does work miracles today!!!
Very happy for you guys, hope things keep up in this direction. We are praying for Kayleigh and hope the bank can work with you, you guys know better than I do, you being in real estate and all, that the last thing the bank needs in this economy is another property they can not sell for what's it's worth, or for nothing at all. They should be interested in keeping you in that house.
god bless you. My little baby.
Praise the Lord for no Hirshsprungs! Yay Kayleigh! I am not trying to be nosey, but have you checked into some Medicaid or other services Kayleigh could receive from the state/government? It's there for people just like you. Also, she is considered disabled and Social Security could be applied for and obtained to help you out. We did this with our youngest and it was such a big help. Praying for you all! :)
I completely agree with Joni! Great news on Kayleigh! Our prayers are with you Freeman Family!!
Your twitter and Facebook updates made my day all throughout the day. To hear such wonderful news back to back was incredibly and profoundly wonderful.
I certainly hope that the banks will extend some sort of compassion and work something out with you all. Regardless of where you end up, God has a plan and there is a reason for everything.
I will be praying for you, for so many reasons! But first and foremost for Baby Kayleigh to soar through the surgeries! Stay strong and keep believing and remember there are so many of us out here in Blogland rooting for your baby girl and for the entire family.

Want you to know I am somebody who is "out there" praying for you guys. We have been there on the house thing. We owed WAY more on our house than it was worth, and waited a year trying to sell it. Then we sold it just a few days before our Foreclosure day, and did a short sale. We actually gave them the keys and walked away at zero. Who would have thought that would feel like a miracle?
Speaking of-your daughter surely is a miracle. Glad to hear of the progress, and I'll keep praying.
Praise God the results were negative. I will continue to pray for the wisdom of the Dr.s to be lead by the ultimate healer so they can figure our what is causing this.
Praying for your transition home too!

Please God heal sweet little Kayleigh so she can be home with her Mommy and Daddy and Thank you for reminding us that everyday is a gift, AMEN
