5/22/09 - Thank You Faith

I wanted to take a break from packing and moving to post a quick, but endless thanks to Faith Massey at "Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep" for the wonderful service she gave our family the day Kayleigh went to Heaven.

Faith was very professional and heartfelt, that having her with us was like having family there when we needed her most. In a time of sadness, you never think to have someone capture your final moments with that special someone. We are so blessed that Faith was there to take photos of those beautiful moments we had with Kayleigh.

Please visit Faith's blog (CLICK HERE), where she has put together a video of the beautiful photos she took May 11th and how I pray no one would ever need to contact "NILMDTS" because a loss of a loved one, it was by far the most greatest decision we have ever made. This is an organization filled with pure love and we couldn't be more blessed to have them a part of our lives.

Thank you Faith!

She did a beautiful job capturing your precious angel and the glorious day the she went home.

I've felt kind of lost this last week with no new blogs or pictures of Kayleigh to see. I can't imagine what these last couple of weeks have been like for your family because our family truly misses that little girl. You really did touch our hearts so deeply that we will never forget her.

We hope your move goes smoothly and we will continue to pray for your family. God Bless!

This is my first time commenting, though I've been visiting Kayleigh here for months. It's hard to find the words to say sometimes but please know that myself and others around me have constantly prayed for her and for your family. It amazes me every time I visit because I can't even believe how strong of a family you must be to make it through this. I am so sorry for your loss but we all know she is in a much better place now where she will feel no pain and will be able to watch down upon your family with a heart full of love. Best of luck to the Freeman family and friends.

Adam and Aimee-
This is so beautiful. I wondered how it was for you to have these pictures taken. I wasn't sure if it was really a good idea, if it would take away from your last moments with Kayleigh. I was so wrong for thinking that. If anything, it made thoses last moments with her even better. The closeness and raw emotion is just beautiful. I Thank You and your family from the bottom of my heart for sharing this with all of us. It means a lot. Kayleigh has become a member of many families across the world and we do appreciate you sharing her last moments.

Thank You again,
shelby

That was amazing and absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing. I cried through the whole thing. I love the pictures of her caregivers too. You can see on their faces how much she meant to everyone of them. And it shows a true testimate to both of you to allow them those last hugs and moments too. Of course by now, nothing that you do that is unselfish is surprising.

Oh, what a precious montage that Faith has put together of the photos she took. I'm sure you will always cherish those pictures that will help to better document your time with Kayleigh while she was here on earth.

"Held" (just as Faith played in the clip) has almost always come to mind when I think of what you have been going through recently. Also, on my way home earlier this week I heard "Homesick" by Mercy Me on the radio (for the first time in a while) and it really made me think of you. Here are a few excerpts:

You're in a better place, I've heard a thousand times
And at least a thousand times I've rejoiced for you
But the reason why I'm broken, the reason why I cry
Is how long must I wait to be with you...

Help me Lord cause I don't understand your ways
..., even if you showed me, the hurt would be the same
Cause I'm still here so far away from home...

In Christ, there are no goodbyes
And in Christ, there is no end
So I'll hold onto Jesus with all that I have
To see you again

And I close my eyes and I see your face
If home's where my heart is then I'm out of place
Lord, won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
I've never been more homesick than now

Wow, what a beautiful job Faith did. The whole video was beautiful but I started sobbing like a little baby when "Baby Mine" started playing, as this was a song I used in a video for my daughter's 2 1/2 months in the NICU. If she weren't taking a nap right now, I would snatch my daughter up and give her a big hug and a kiss right now. Thank you for sharing.

Kayleigh is so beautiful, as are you, Aimee, Allyson and Brandon. She was blessed to have been given to such a wonderful loving family here on Earth. God certainly makes no mistakes!!

God Bless you Freeman Family!

Yesterday I watched Faith's video of Kayleigh's photos. She did a wonderful job w/the photos and putting the video together. Especially loved that she included Kayleigh's care givers at the NICU. It was so obvious that they loved Kayleigh like there own.

Also loved your 3 videos of Kayleigh's life. Wow, only our amazing God could carry you and Kayleigh through this journey.

I've followed Kayleigh's (and your) story since early July 08. It is truly amazing how God worked miracles, blessed your family and others, was bigger than we can comprehend, gave you greater faith, salvation, grace, peace and the list goes on and on.

May God continue to be with you and your family as you start a new normal life. I'm hoping that you will continue your blog so we can continue to pray for you. Even though I don't know you personally, I feel that I do know you through your blog.

Aimee and Adam,

The video is utterly breathtaking, it has captured your family and our dear sweet kayleigh perfectly. The footage of the caregivers completed the story of kayleigh's family as I imagine they feel like part of the Kayleigh family. I think back over my 45 years and I can only count less than 10 people who have been in my life that irrevocably changed my life for the better forever, and I count dear Kayleigh and your family as one...... Thankyou for sharing Kayleigh's story with the world, your little girl is truely amazing and was definitely here for an extraordinary reason. I can't listen to the song amazing without thinking of our little princess and it is never with dry eyes, but the tears are now a mixture of sadness and eternal love for the little girl the song was meant to be written for. I now pray that the future for the Freeman family is one of love and happy times, Kayleigh will be guiding from above - and I know things will work out - your love, faith and strength is beyond belief. God bless the Freeman family until they meet Kayleigh again.

I miss seeing her each day, in your different posts. But, I try to remember, that she IS alive still.. just in an eternal place. That brings comfort. I know Jesus welcomed her, into His arms. That is a good feeling. Knowing, she is not suffering anymore. I have many health problems, and I know what pain is. It was so hard imagining the kind of pain she was in. Now, all that hurt is gone. And she, is free from all of those burdens. Praise the Lord!!! On this video, there was a code so people can embed it in their pages/sites. I hope you do not mind, I added it to my page. That was so beautiful!

It brought me back to all the emotions I had the first time I watched the video of our conjoined twins a few days after their death.

My eyes were filled with tears the whole time I watched Kayleigh's video. I was grieving for you guys as I remembered all too well what y'all are going through.

Ecclesiastes 7:1-4, 7:9-14
A good name is better than precious ointment, and the day of death than the day of birth. It is better to go to the house of mourning than to go to the house of feasting, for this is the end of all mankind, and the living will lay it to heart. Sorrow is better than laughter, for by sadness of face the heart is made glad. The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning, but the heart of fools is in the house of mirth. Be not quick in your spirit to become angry, for anger lodges in the bosom of fools Say not, “Why were the former days better than these?” For it is not from wisdom that you ask this.Consider the work of God: who can make straight what he has made crooked? In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider: God has made the one as well as the other, so that man may not find out anything that will be after him.

I will keep praying for you guys!

I hope one day I will be able to watch that and not everything be blurry!! (sad smile) Kayleigh has touched and affected my life in a way I never knew would be possible, and for the bravery, strength and kindness you all have shown in opening up your lives to all of us has just helped me understand and accept faith so much more into my life. Our son had a high chance of being stillborn, so when I was terrified during my own pregnancy, I would read about Kayleigh, and it helped me find faith.

Seeing Kayleigh in her dress, and being held by the RNs, the Neonatologist, etc, absolutely broke my heart. Seeing their faces, and their expressions, were just heartbreaking. Then as Faith put it, you with peace on yours that was hard to understand, was so touching and painful at the same time.

I hope you keep your blog going, because for so many of us, we've grown to love not just Kayleigh, but your family.
