7/29/08 - A Perfect Day, Almost.

Snug as a bug in a rug :)

It was quite funny as Aimee and I were standing next to Kayleigh in her isolette. Aimee told me that I can title tonights blog as "A Perfect Day". Then...Guess who got the last word? Yes, Kayleigh. She had an apnea spell, making the bells chime and then a desat right after it to make things even more exciting. She quickly recovered back to normal and if she could make a sound, I would have heard a giggle like no other. That right there goes to show she is a true Freeman as we are all practical joksters.

Other than that small little spell, she was wonderful today. Tonight they will start her back on her feeds once they get her final blood culture back, but they will only be giving her 4ml. So we have to take a few steps back with the amount of food she will be getting, but hopefully we will be back up to 10ml in no time. She even gained some weight over night without getting any food yesterday. She weighed in at 737 grams which you would also have to take account for the CPAP, but her weight is right around 1 pound 10 ounces.

We want to thank those who have purchased a bracelet. We will be making an order shortly and we can't wait to put together the scrapbook with all the family photos of everyone wearing their bracelets. I guess I am just so excited for the day that Kayleigh can appreciate all the people pulling for her and this will be a wonderful way to do just that. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

God Bless,

The Freemans :)

What a pretty girl you are, Miss Kayleigh! You look so sweet in these pictures, and I can't wait to get the braclet to show my support for you and your family. You and your family are always in my thoughts and prayers. I like to keep close check on you daily. You are so loved by many, near and far. Hugs to all. Loved your daddy's veteran story!

Aimee and Adam,

I am sorry I haven't posted in a while,I feel guilty. I am in the process of moving and have been trying to get ready for the movers, but I still check in on Kayleigh everyday. It will be about a week that I won't be able to so I figured I would post real fast.

Kayleigh is doing really well and oh what a beautiful girl she is. I could tell immediately the other day that she had put on some weight. It is great that the nurses have finally figured this little booger out. It makes things a bit easier now, mostly for Kayleigh.

I think it was awesome about the veterans and how humble they are to be able to talk about your precious doll when they could be talking about anything else. That is just too cool.

I keep you guys in my prayers all the time. God has definitely kept an eye over her and he will continue to. God bless you guys.

Hi there! Glad to hear Kayleigh hasn't lost her sense of humor! LOL It's wonderful to hear that she's back on track. She'll be so proud when one day she can look back and read these blogs and see just how much mommy and daddy truly loves her! Keep up the great work!

In Christ,
Rachel

I have been following Kayleigh's Story since Aimee's first post on Baby Center. I just wanted to let you know that I check in every morning here in Reading, PA to see how she is doing. She is always in my thoughts and prayers. She is a beautiful little blessing. I wish you and your family all the joy of raising your little one. Also...just a funny fact I learned today...we share the same wedding date and we are expecting our first child together in Septemeber. Best wishes to all of you. I will continue to pray and think of your family. Love ~Marci

Wow, I used to post on the boards to Aimee, but this will be the first time I've posted here. I just have to let you and Aimee know how amazed I am by the 2 of you and your strength you've received from the Lord. Being 8 months pregnant, I couldn't imagine what you guys must go through everyday. I get on and pray for pictures each day (it's like a drug I can't give up :)...and I just don't know how you deal with it. I know that all the things she's going through, she has to go through for her development, but I couldn't just sit there and look at her...I would want to take her in my arms and just hold her and sing to her all the time. I'm in tears as I write this, because you 2 have inspired me to try and be a stronger person. The Lord has truly blessed you, your family, and Little Kayleigh and I pray that He continues to do so each and every day.
