12/18/08 - Thank you :)

Thank you everyone for all the kind words. It is early AM on Thursday and Kayleigh is still fighting hard. We know God has the final word and we are still hoping and praying for a miracle, but we are comforted in knowing that Kayleigh is in no pain or discomfort right now if she may go to heaven. She is resting peacefully and looking as precious as can be.

I can't begin to tell you how much your comments have helped us through this difficult time. We are so amazed at how Kayleigh has touched all of your lives in one way or another.

"Kayleigh, We want you to know that you are so special and everyone loves you so very much. Whether God's plan is for you to be with us or with Him in heaven, we are so very proud of you for your strength and love you have given us. You will ALWAYS be our little Angel" Love, Mommy & Daddy

God Bless,

The Freemans :)

To the Freeman family,

I am so humbled by Kayleigh and her ability to fight such an incredible fight and touch people so deeply at the same time. I can look at my children now and tell them, anything is possible for you- because truly, with God anything is possible!!!
Today is my anniversary and my husband bought me one of Kayleigh's bracelets as my present- and wrote a note to me which read, 'I want you to wear this everyday and when you see it remember how blessed you are." I cried when I received it- he knew I'd been following your story since Aimee first went on babycenter.com. My little boy was born on Sept 8- and every time I seem him and hear him cry I thank God. It reminded me so much of your post the other day- Kayleigh has strengthened my faith, my marriage, and my appreciation and love for my children.
Regardless of whether or not Kayleigh stays with us (and trust me I'm believing for a MIRACLE!) or whether God chooses for her to sit in his lap and watch over your family, his PURPOSE for her will not end with her last breath. Her legacy will continue on- whether she is here on Earth or up in Heaven. I hope that you both find great peace in that. Your daughter is gorgeous and truly a miracle. God has greatly blessed your faith- whenever I read your words, I can feel the holy spirit washing over me.
Really, it's amazing.
I love all of you, as my family in Christ, even though I have never met you.
Thank you Kayleigh, for giving me this gift.

Parker and I were rocking last night as I got ready to lay him down to sleep. i was singing to him and suddenly I lost it, I thought about you guys and that you may never get to experience what I was experiencing. As he started to drift off, I told him again, all about our friend Kayleigh. I told him how it helped me while he was in the hospital to have someone to help out. I stopped focusing on my pity party and frustration over Parker's birth and time in hospital, and was able to focus on someone in need and love them.

I thank you for that! I am so so glad that God led me to your blog. I seriously am grateful to YOU for letting me jump into your lives and become apart of it.

As always, we are praying for you guys. I pray that Kayleigh continues to stay strong and that you guys continue to feel God's peace through this!

hang in there! love you guys!

I have been following your story since Babycenter.com (We have a daughter born 9/26) and I have never posted here but I wanted to tell you my family prays for Kayleigh everyday. You will have no idea how many lives Kayleigh has touched! She truely is a miracle and she will remain in our hearts forever. Everytime one of my little ones starts to act out and I want to fly off the handle, I stop and think now about how precious life is and how it is a blessing to have a healthy child (even if they are not a good kid all the time). I want to thank Kayleigh for making me realize that in my life. We tend to get so wrapped up in the little things in life, we forget about the big picture. Thank you Kayleigh!!

Aimee and Adam,
What can I say? I have had to take some time off work and have not been able to check in as often as I wanted. I was so shocked to read the comment this morning. Please know I am thinking of you and your family, as well as praying for you and Kayleigh. She is truly such an inspiration, as you both are. She is in God's hands, and He will take care of her one way or another. I think of you guys so often, how your strength and faith has carried you through such a rollercoaster ride. I draw so much strength in seeing what we are all able to do with the power of prayer and the belief in God. I believe one of the comments said that Kayleigh said "I love you" with each success she had with surgeries, etc. I see her saying it in the pictures with her little expressions, and with each and every day she has been on this earth. She has touched so many people, and I am so thankful you asked me to be her primary that night in NPCN. I will continue to pray for you and Kayleigh, as I have been for a while. Just know how special she is to so many people. Hang in there, I am a firm believer that things happen for a reason, whatever that reason may be.

Kayleigh is an inspiration to anyone who breathes air. She is the most beautiful little girl I have ever saw. God has a plan. We don't always understand what that plan is, but it's always for the good and glory of the Father. I have been so touched by this story. It's the first thing I read in the morning and the last thing I read at night. God bless your family and God bless Kayleigh for her BRAVE fight. I love her with all my heart even though I have never met her in person. Thank you so much for bringing her into my life. Your family will forever be in my heart.

I'm so glad to know that Kayleigh is continuing her fight and that you guys are remaining as strong as possible.

Last night at my church's Christmas banquet, close to 250 people stood and joined hands in a special prayer just for Kayleigh. They had your blog pulled up on the overhead and I can assure you that there was not a dry eye in the place. It was very moving. We're all keeping faith that she'll gain strength and her pressures will come down.

I logged on here for the first time in a few days only to find myself saying "No,No,No! This wasn't how it was supposed to be." I sit here at my desk at work, crying for your family. I don't know you, but I sure feel like I do. Kayleigh has already made such an impact, and no matter what God decides in the days to come, I do know that HIS ways are greater than ours. But boy - as a mommy, that is soooo hard to remember when your baby/child is the one you're handing over to him.

My prayers go out for your family and for Kayleigh.

Adam, Aimee & Kayleigh,

As I had said many times before it is still so that my heart is breaking. I took the day yesterday and spent it fasting and in prayer for Kayleigh, God's will in her life and your family. My heart is breaking and I once again can not fathom how you are feeling. My husband yesterday went on your site and ordered us bracelets. I had not ordered because we have medical bills coming out of every which way possible, which I know you understand, however he had saved enough money and put it aside to buy bracelets for all of us. I will wear mine always and never forget what an impact your lives and testamony has been to our family. George says, "give Kayleigh a kisssssssss and a ugh that he lubs her." Thank you for opening your world to us, so that our Lord could use your story to be a blessing to so many. Kayleigh has brough so much love, peace, hope and comfort to the world, our Lord has a plan for her life and though it may be short look how God used 1 tiny miracle to shed his light to the whole world.

Peace be with you both, and know that our Father God will give you all that you need, Find comfort in his arms and rest knowing that His will is in place and that you are doing His will.

Love Always,

Katie, Steve, George & Sidney

God has created another day so let us rejoice in it.

Kayleigh is such a fighter and one thing I have learned from her is to not give up even when things get tough. My son is 13 months and I have shared pieces of Kayleigh's story with him over the past several days. I have found myself reading in the Bible and devoting some of my evening time to scripture reading and prayer. Every time I get up in the middle of the night I say a little prayer that God will give Kayleigh strength to continue to fight and outweigh all the odds and be your Christmas miracle. If there is one family that deserves a miracle it is you guys. I am going to buy Kayleigh's bracelet today so I can always remember when I see it to give of myself more, love my husband and child more than I already do, pray and read scripture daily, and know that God's way is the only way. It will also serve as a reminder of Kayleigh (to pray for her and your family) and what she has done for so many people. I am so happy that you are getting to spend another day with Kayleigh she loves you and everyone else more than anyone can ever know. She is God's little angel here on Earth and will continue to spread his love and faith forever. You and Aimee are an inspiration to many because your faith and trust in God is amazing. Continue to trust in him and he will lead you on the path to your destiny. Do not give up hope. I truly believe in my gut that Kayleigh will prevail and that God has bigger plans for her. She is beautiful and courageous. Keep fighting little one.

In Christ,
