12/30/08 - Progress!!

Kayleigh is making some progress after her recent hypertensive episode which cancelled her jg-tube procedure. She is finally coming down from high pressure settings and 100% oxygen on the vent. The x-ray showed some improvement with the left side of the lung, but it still looks nasty in there. They are going to give her a few doses of Lasix to dry and get some of that out of there.

I guess this was Kayleigh's way of telling us she was not ready for the procedure, I just wish she wouldn't scare the mess out of us in the process. Please continue to pray that she will recover back to where she was before, and then some so we can move forward with this procedure (When she is ready) and start repairing the damage that has already been done to her lungs. Kayleigh continues to amaze us all and we can only hope and pray she has enough fight in her to grow out of this illness.

Also, please pray for Stellan. He has come down with RSV and you can read about his battle on MckMama's site. Let her know our mighty prayer warriors are praying for her precious son as well!

God Bless,

The Freemans :)

Praise God! Father, I ask that you keep healing Kayleigh more every day. She is a special child of YOURS who is reaching thousands through her story. Thank you Lord for the progress Kayleigh has made the last couple days. Keep your arms around her and her precious family Lord. In Jesus' Holy and Precious Name, Amen.

Yes, baby Stellan is in need of prayers as well. I have spent the past 2 days going between Kayleigh and Stellan. God has His hands on both of these sweet babes right now.

So glad to hear that Kayleigh is working through this latest episode.

Continuing to pray!

Oh, Thank God!! I've been checking for an update and when I didnt' see anything posted, I got worried!! I'm so glad she is doing better. My 4 year old daughter and I kneel by her bed every night and pray for "baby Kayleigh" My 20 month old daughter is too young to understand, but she tries to fold her hands and say "Amen" :-) We all know that GOD is in control, but myself, my husband and our two daughters will keep praying for you!!

So glad to hear Kayleigh is making progress. God is good. I found your blog through McMama's. With all the craziness in the world, it is such a blessing to find people so committed to Christ and praying so openly for others. It blesses my heart that you would take time to ask for prayer for another child when your own is so sick. I stop many times during the day to say a prayer for your sweet Kayleigh.

I am so glad she is doing better. I have been praying and checking all day. I was so worried and so was my son. He came screaming from across the room when I told him there was an update and she was doing better. I hope you can feel the prayers we are sending your way. Please stay strong. God is good.

God is great. I am so happy that Kayleigh is doing better today. She is one tough cookie and she is living out God's plan everyday. She is amazing. I am inspired by her strength and determination for life. She has a wonderful family and as always you all are in my prayers.

God please keep your hands on Kayleigh and continue to provider her with the strength to continue to get better and live out your plan for her. Please give the doctors and nurses the wisdom to care for Kayleigh and provide all treatment options to this precious angel of yours. She is an amazing warrior for you Lord and continues to touch thousands worldwide all to glorify Your name. Through you Lord anything is possible.

In Christ,

Amber

I am praying for you. My daughter that we are adopting was 5 weeks premature and although we have no where near the problems your sweet angel baby has faced, it was rough the first month or so. I also have a good friend who's twin girls were born 4 mos. premature and weighing less than 2 lbs a piece. They will celebrate their first birthday this month! So I think faith and support do wonders! God Bless your family!

I recently found your story while on Baby Center. Your faith is an inspiration. I pray daily for little Kayleigh and am delighted each day to find that she is still going strong. God Bless!
