Well if every subscriber donates $5-$10 (which even the poorest of us can pull out of a hat somewhere!!!) sometime over the next few weeks then you would have over $1500....
so I promise a minimum of $5 this weekend (after payday *wink*)
Who's next? even $1 helps!!!
We are all so thankful to know the Freemans and thankful for the way they have touched our lives, lets return the love :o)

I will also be donating this weekend (after collecting some checks tomorrow). I wanted to donate before but didn't know if you needed/wanted help. We have had extended stays in the hospital before with our little ones and that is tough enough and then when you get home there are bills and makes it even worse.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers daily.

I can't believe this wonderful news about Kayleigh. It has made me feel so happy for you both and your family. I agree that if we all donate a little it will make a big difference. I will tell my friends and family as well :)

We were able to take our sweet Zephaniah home on Tuesday - the same day you found out Kayleigh might not make it more than a few hours or days. I cannot imagine how you are feeling. I know how much your love your daughter and how your hearts must be breaking. I'm encouraged to read that there is still hope that she will survive, but remember that she will live. Whether here or in heaven. God is good and he loves her and he is using her life for his glory - which is all any of us can hope for. I know that God has something in store for you and Aimee and that he will provide for your family. I have followed Kayleigh's story through a pregnancy complicated by preterm labor and then my son's 1 month stay in the NICU. I don't get it at all why nearly 6 months later why...but I do believe God is good. I will be praying for your family!

I donated what I could to help this family since I feel they are so deserving. I think of little Kayleigh several times a day. This blog is the first site I visit in the morning, and the last I visit before going to bed at night. I think of her all the time and hoping for a miracle to pull her through this.

Kayleigh's Mommy and Daddy-
Hi! My name is Erin and I am a neonatal intensive care unit nurse in san diego, california. I work at university of california, san diego in a level 3 NICU. I just spent my entire break reading your whole blog, looking at pictures, and feeling your love for each other and for your baby girl. You so eloquently explain the technical terms that are very hard to explain to a lot of families. I am sure you and your family have become like family to the NICU there in Charlotte and always remember that you are as important to them as they are to you! I will share your blog with all of the nurses i work with and i will also let some families who are struggling with you see what you have done to share kayleigh's story! you are in my heart and on my mind- hang in there! xo

I found your blog through MckMama today! I have a 10yr brother who was born 3mo premature, and twin sisters who only made it to 27.5wks gestation after fighting with TRAP Syndrome (Twin-Reversed Arterial Perfusion Syndrome). My prayers are with you during this time! Stay close to the only ONE who can meet all your needs. ;-)
I just sent you a donation!

Hi Adam and Aimee,

Keep up the Faith! I always believe that Kayleigh will overcome this and a miracle will happen. She is a fighter and will not let go, and she will be your Savior and help save you and make your life better.

I will pray for your whole family. Oh, do you have a business address that we can send a check to, if we don't want to sign up for a Paypal account? I used to have a Paypal account, but I cancelled it.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your story with us everyday! It is interesting to be able to hear about another micropreemie's case, since in the NICU, they do not share other baby's information case with us. (And that enables me to learn/understand a little bit more about what my micropreemie in the hospital is going through.)

Is there anyway you can share your story with the other TV talk shows out there, like the Oprah Winfrey show, Ellen show, TLC show, etc.? Or, even newspapers and magazines (like Time, Newsweek, Parents magazine, etc.)?

I am praying for sweet Kayleigh and your entire family daily and I have tried to spread the prayer chain to everyone I know. Hope our donation helps a little. Hang in there guys and keep your faith strong!
I haven't ever met you guys - but Aimee and I have emailed each other. I LOVE Kayleigh and by loving her - i love your whole family. Thank you so much for opening up your family and Kayleigh's story to all of us that she has touched.
As a critical care nurse of 12 years - It ain't over... till God says so!!! (Don't forget this and don't give up). I have seen more miracles over the years than I can share. Thank you for renewing my faith in God. And thank you for updating all of us daily during this incredibly difficult time. That act alone shows such true selflessness - the rest of us should take note.

Freemans family,

Hello. I found your story through a preemie group that I joined through facebook. Your story is truly amazing...although it has been a struggle from the start Kayleigh has already ovecome so much! She is so strong and I think that comes directly from the both of you with all your love and involvement. I had 28 weeker twin boys and I know how both sides of the story end. Travis was able to come home after 98 days in NICU and many complications along the way, but my sweet little Myles passed away when he was just 37 days old.
The rollercoaster ride that you guys are on is horrific, one minute you're up and the next you're down. We experienced alot of the "the good news is...., but the bad news is..." There never seemed to be just the good without a catch. I sympathize and my heart aches for you and your family but I also seen your pictures and you look so loving and supportive and are managing to still have a sense of humour!
I want to say that the two of you are strong, but I always hated it when people said that to me. I felt that I wasn't strong, inside I was falling to pieces. It was all the love, innocence, and strength from my boys that made me keep going! And some days I was just simply coping and trying to make it through another day that I had no control over!
Kayleigh is so tough and sweet and has already overcome all the odds and I feel she will keep doing that. Preemies seem to knock on heavens door everyday, I think they need all the prayers from up there and down here.
Although I am new to your site I have it on all the time to see any updates and progress. I pray for you all day, everyday in hopes that Kayleigh will someday be in her own bed at home.
I love the way you have recorded and charted her progress and set backs every step of the way. I think this will be a way of healing and assurance to look back on later knowing that you and Kayleigh fought through this experience together as a team!
I will send your site to family and friends because I remember the cost of living(I'm in Canada so medical was covered) but living expenses alone were tough to manage.
Stay positive, say "I love you" everyday and keep supporting one another. Pray, pray, pray.....its working and thay are being answered!

Like someone said earlier in this post, Kayleigh has touch me so much, she is the first thing I think about in the morning and the last at night. I can completely understand your struggle financially, especially right before Christmas!! I will donate right now! Any little bit helps!! Even though we don't know you, we feel like we do and Kayleigh and your entire family holds a special place in our hearts. We are all praying for little Kayleigh AND your entire family!!

Hello Freeman family,
I have been following your story for months now, even though we've never met I feel like I know you and are part of the family. I was devastated when I read your last couple of posts...and this morning I find myself praying more than ever, and cheering little Kayleigh Ann on like I've never done before! Every time I read your blog I am reminded of what's important, stress melts away and I hug my baby tighter and I love my husband more. I made a small donation this morning, but my prayers of strength, courage, healing have always and will always continue to come your way!!!
Love, Francesca.

Hi! My name is Natasha. I'm from Southern Indiana and heard about your story from little Ana. You and your family have been in my prayers and have helped me realize how blessed I truly am. Children are a wonderful blessing, and God has a destiny for each one He sends to us. I am praying that Kayleigh will grow up to fulfill her destiny and will be used to bring many people to Christ.
Hebrews 10:35-36
"Do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord, no matter what happens. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so you will continue to do God's will. Then you will receive all that he has promised."
Have a blessed day!

With that said, I have been praying very hard for Kayleigh and your family. She is one tough cookie. I hope my contribution helps.

Hi Adam & Aimee,
We were in this same situation last Christmas when our twin boys were in the NICU. Financially and emotionally - this was hard on us. I know that every little bit will help. I made a small donation this week and hopefully end of next week I cam do so again. Your guys' strengnth(sp..lol) is encouraging. I know more than anything it is also hard to ask for help. But that is why we are all on this earth - to help each other when we are needing it the most.
We hope Kayleigh continues to improve. You guys are in my thoughts allll day long.

I just wanted to say that I am praying for Kayleigh. Sweet baby girl..I say a Rosary for her everyday. I also pray to our Lord and Savior, Jesus and to our Father God...but I also pray to Mary. I know that Jesus never refuses a request from his mother. Who better to ask for help than to Mary, a mother herself who watched her child die? I know that Kayleigh will be given the miracle that she so deserves. Faith, hope and trust. Just breathe. God bless you all.

I pray that all the angels that helped my little ones (I have twins that were born 13 wks early) are surrounding your family at this time.

God bless you from my miracles to yours.

Also, I will start trying to raise some money over here in Minnesota for you. It is worth a try. We are all here for you, and know how important this is. I hope that our donation helps you and your family. I would love to be able to give more, but at this time I would like to post your blog on ours to hopefully give you a little more help...I hope you do not mind.

I have not visited in a little while and was shocked to read what is going on. I am so sorry. I know the fears you are going through and the anxiety. Never feel bad for posting your family's struggles, it helps you when you get your thoughts out there and it helps us help you. I also know how hard it is to be "seperated" from your other babies. It is so very hard, especially when they are too young to understand. You are right, they will understand that the love you have for Kayleigh is the same you have for them. I will continue to pray for your family.

Again, I am so sorry that you all are having to go through all of this right now. It is the hardest thing anyone has to go through...the feeling of helplessness and the thoughts of losing your precious baby. If you guys need anything, especially moral support from a family who has gone through this please contact us...www.kadenboeckman.blogspot.com

Everyone on this blog is so awesome and what a way to show God how all of mankind can pull together for such a great cause and help this amazing family out. This shows just how truly amazing Adam, Aimee, Brandon, Allyson, and especially baby Kayleigh are to everyone and how God provides for those that give to others. I am rejoicing in another day that baby Kayleigh has to spend with her family and her extended family on this blog. God's purpose for Kayleigh is being seen everyday and what continues to be seen as God performs yet another MIRACLE here on Earth. I will be happy to email Oprah, Ellen, Dr. Phil whoever will listen + will ask others for donations to help out this worthy cause. I also run a part-time business with Advocare and half my earnings each week will go to this wonderful family. Thanks be to God for everyone pulling together to pray, help out, and provide words of encouragement to one of His families. Thank you Lord for continuing to heal Kayleigh and keeping her fighting spirit and faith alive in all of us as we continue to deligently pray and lift her up to you.

Regarding using the Donate Button!
YOU DON'T HAVE TO SIGN UP WITH PAYPAL TO DONATE!!!
Signing up with PayPal is optional, but not required! ;-) Just send funds using a credit or debit card.
Also, if you've had PayPal in the past and you get the screen to log in... In the bottom left corner you will see "Don't have a PayPal account?" and then pictures of credit cards. Click on the "Continue" link and fill out the credit card info to send in your donation. Just make sure you use a credit card that wasn't linked to your PayPal account and a different email address! If you need a temporary email address you can always set one up at Gmail.com
Hope that helps everyone!!!

I will donate later today as my hubby has my debit card on him, it won't be too much but it will be something. I wish that I could do $50. Maybe I can pull a trick out of my hat.

My daughter came to me the other day and asked me "Mommy what does Joy mean?" And I said what do you think it means? And she said "J means Jesus O means others and Y menans yourself." She told me I had to run my life in that way always Jesus first then Others then myself. I was so stricken by that.

I am happy to see that Kayleigh has had a turn around. I have 3 crucifixes on my living room wall, which have been blessed, and I actually prayed to those last night and all day yesterday.

With much love and prayers,

If you signed up with PayPal, they will be sending two small deposits to your bank account to verify it. So, if you're trying to send a donation from your bank, that may be why you won't be able to send it until you verify the deposits.
I do believe that you could use a credit card and make a payment RIGHT NOW with out having to wait for your bank deposits to be verified!

I don't know if you have ever read this poem before but i had found it on the internet by Jill Fantina when my son was in the hospital. He was 8 weeks premee and is almost 2 now! So I'd like to share it with you. I hope it comes out right on this page, the first letter of each line will read OUR PREMATURE ANGEL when you read it from top to bottom. Here goes:

Our little wisp of happiness. our little budding rose.

Unbelievable you are from your head to tiny toes.

Rocking you so gently for our love we can't conceal.

Perfect in most every way, you almost can't seem real.

Running just ahead of schedual, being oh so small.

Excited that you came so soon, though you suprised us all.

Maybe you came early, but too soon you couldn't be.

As we were waiting with our arms wide open lovingly.

To hold you, is to have a bit of heaven in our arms.

Until you came we just anticipated tiny, little charms.

Realtity of having you to love and hug and kiss.

Envelopes us in puffy clouds of talcum powder bliss.

A little cherub soft and sweet, so special in each way.

Now we'll fondly watch you grow and gain new stength each day.

Giving all our deepest love to you from heart to heart.

Embrassing you with bleesings for a firm and stable start.

Little one whom god has sent in smaller version now. Just wait a couple of years and watch the mirror whistle "Wow".

Just a suggestion for those having problems with Paypal. There is a link on the blog page to buy bracelets. I bought ten bracelets and then sent a quick email to not send the bracelets but consider this a gift to help defer expenses. That uses google checkout and you can use a credit card without having to sign up and wait for small deposits.

Let's get the ball rolling. Every little bit helps! And of those of use who can't spare an extra expense, I'm sure the family will appreciate prayers.

We've all seen that prayer works wonders!

Oh my God! I am sitting here with chills and tears in my eyes. What terrific people read this blog!

On the news, we rarely hear of such an outpouring of generosity to help strangers.

This just proves to me that there are wonderful people in this world.

I've made my donation and I have an auction running on eBay where full proceeds will be donated to the Freeman family.

I've also posted a link to this blog on my blog and asked my readers to buy one less gift this year and instead make a small contribution to the Freeman's. They have enough to worry about and shouldn't have to worry about losing their home and/or vehicle.

Witnessing the outpouring of love from strangers has made my Christmas.

Thank you Jessica! I did try to use a credit card first but it said it wouldn't accept it as a form of payment. This is when they asked for my banking info. It did mention verifying the 2 deposits, but said it would take 2-3 business days. Who ever thought it would be so hard to give $$$ away!!!I would love for the $ to get to them before Christmas, so I am going to use Angela's idea of buying bracelets and asking them not to send them. Thats a GREAT IDEA ANGELA!

There is a supplemental Social Security income for families of very premature babies. Families are urged to contact their local Social Security office as soon as their babies are born if they weigh under 1,200 grams (2.6 pounds) at birth. It seems there is a Supplemental Social Security Income that is available to families ($466.00 per child, per month) to help with the overwhelming costs associated with such early births. During the time of hospitalization there is no consideration of parent’s income or resources. Later, when the babies come home, family income is taken into consideration for further help if it is needed, but there is often additional help available. It is rare for hospital social workers to alert families to this benefit, and it is not retroactive. SSA should be called immediately following the birth of your premature babies. I would like to start something...

I just donated an additional $25.

This money is for the dress Kayleigh will wear to her first birthday party.

What will you give - and what is it for??

I believe in my heart that Kayleigh will be here on June 23rd of 2009. In God all things are possible.

Lets all get as many people to donate today as we can - and list what they'd like it to be for!

It will be FUN - AND.... will help this amazing family!!

I just decided to use my credit card instead so don't worry about the address. I was just thinking that if I donated by check directly then you would get the full amount whereas with a credit card there is a % taken out.
$100 more to help!!!!

It is blowing me away how amazing people are!

You have an awesome family, and great friends. Whatever comes out of this, know that you, Aimee, and the medical staff and drs. have done everything they possibly can, so please dont ever feel that you didnt give it enough because you most certaintly did. I wish you the best!.. God Bless Kayleigh Anne.

I will be making a donation, Im so glad I could help!

Cathy....Great idea! I have already pledge to donate $50....I can't seem to get pay pal to work and I tried to order bracelets and tell them not to send them (so they'll get to keep the $50) but I am having problems with the google acct. I emailed Adam asking if I can send a check or $ order to their real estate address...

I will pledge another $25 as well! Kayleigh could use it to buy her Mommy a Mother's Day gift for May 2009! Daddy will have to take her shopping, though!

I just wanted to add some info on the SSI social security checks.( we get them for our twins). While the baby is in the hospital, they will give you just $30 a month. After the baby comes home, that ammount jumps up (in Jan 09) to $674. How much you receive each month depends on your income. I know $30 a month doesnt seem like much, but every bit helps. :)

UNTIL 10pm TONIGHT (when I finally crash into bed LOL) - I will MATCH any donation made on here.

I've been in the same situation as Aimee & Adam - 8 years ago... and my tiny 1 lb 6 oz preemie is now 8 1/2 years old and PERFECT in every possible way!!! I was faced with having to say GOODBYE TO HER too at one point after already having been in the hospital for 2+ months. She was a little fighter!!

My heart aches for this family -

I'm donating ANOTHER $25 to help with Kayleighs lunch money when she enters kindergarten!!!!!

Adam and Aimee,

Even though money is tight for us this year, I sent in $50. God has always provided for us, and He promises that whatever we give unto others it will be returned in multitude to us. Seeing everyone's generosity on these comments has MADE this Christmas for me. Whatever happens with Kayleigh is in God's hands (right where she belongs) but it feels so wonderful to HELP you in a tangible way!

We love you, and we love Kayleigh!
Merry Christmas, and thank you so much for sharing your precious daughter with us!

I wish I could give more, but I'm not working right now either. I had my daughter 9 weeks ago so I donated the money I was going to use to buy her a Christmas present. It is her first lesson in giving to others, which I think is a better gift than any material object. I hope this helps,we will continue praying..

I just started following your story... I saw a posting on inspire.com. I was reading through your blogs and something in particular caught my eye. Aimmee's GRAVES disease. I also had Grave's disease when I was pregnant and, in turn, my daughter contracted Grave's disease. She was born prematurely with severe pulmonary hypertension. Please make sure that Kayleigh is or has been tested as well... they treated my daughter's grave's disease and when that resolved, her pulmonary hypertension went away. She had pulmonary pressures in the 100's. You can contact me at stushrn2@yahoo.com for any further questions. Your family is in my prayers. Never give up. Miracles happen... my daughter was not expected to survive... she is now 16 months old and a normal baby. These little babies are so unbelievably strong.

I donated $50 from my little boy, Colin. He has a crush on Kayleigh...see 11/14/08 post. We envision the money going to help pay bills and take just a few ounces from the enormous weight that rests on the shoulders of Aimee and Adam this Christmas season.

I found your blog yesterday and immediatly started praying for your little girl. While saying nighttime prayers with my 2 year old I told him a little bit about Kayleigh (as much as a 2 year old can understand) and we prayed together for her. Tonight when we were saying our prayers my son remembered Kayleigh and wanted to pray for her again tonight. Please know that we will continue to pray for you and your family.

I just left the following message on Ellen's email page - and I plan to do the same to Oprah and to Tyra Banks and anyone else that I can think of and find online - Hoping that somehow I can make a difference to the Freeman family - still praying for a miracle!!!

My daughter recently gave birth to my grandson 7 weeks premature - we knew the baby would possibly be born early - so I started reading stories of preemies to prepare for what to expect with my grandson (my daughter is living with me and now so is my grandson) I came across a blog for a baby named Kayleigh Ann Freeman - http://www.kayleighannefreeman.blogspot.com/
and have been reading their blog every day - Kayleigh was born on June 23, 2008 at 24 weeks after Drs' told her parents she would never be born alive - she has had so many struggles and has almost died so many times, right now she is struggling to survive another problem and Adam, the dad, has been writing a daily blog of his daughter's life, and right now they are struggling to make ends meet - they own a real estate company and with all the problems with the baby - they are possibly going to lose their home and their car - they have two other children but obviously have had to spend almost all their time the past 5 1/2 months with Kayleigh in the hospital - the story is amazing because there are so many followers of this blog that pray for this baby every day now - and she truly is a miracle - when she was born her father's wedding ring was way too big to fit around her wrist - just now at 5 months old she just passed the 5 pound mark! Many of the regular readers of the blog have decided to help the family by donating to them through their blog and also trying to help them get some national attention to get more people to help them pray for a miracle for Kayleigh and also to help them overcome their financial struggles - I truly believe this is a story that Ellen could help and the viewers would fall in love with this family the way all the readers of the blog have! Adam has a way of writing the blog that makes you feel as if you know this family and this baby - he plans to write a book about Kayleigh's birth as well - If there is anything you can do - please check out their website - look at the pictures and read their story - even if you can't do anything on the show - it will give you chills and make you believe in miracles!! Thank you for reading my email to you - I love Ellen!!!

ANONYMOUS MATCHING DONOR--catching you before 10 PM!!

I'll raise my pledge from $75 to $125.....
This would equal $250 for the Freemans!!

It will buy Kayleigh LOTS of diapers when she comes home and daddy gets to change the stinkiest of diapers that he has talked about!!

Praise GOD for everyone's generosity and kindness. We are all learning an incredible lesson!

I will email until my computer dies to all the shows in America about this family. They are amazing and CHRIST is working through them and all the supporters as we continue to grow in our faith and cheer baby Kayleigh to victory. God is so amazing because I was sitting here tonight thinking how I could get extra money to donate to this wonderful cause and then my husband walks in with a $200.00 rebate check. Freeman's it is all yours. My son is learning what Christmas is all about (not about the presents under the tree but about Jesus birth and all the greatness that comes with knowing and walking in faith with him). My son is also learning the gift of giving and we started a Christmas tradition this year which is to give to others by donating to local charities in our community and church. This has truly been my Christmas present this year it does not matter what I get it will never top this present. Kayleigh is an amazing girl and I hope my family gets to meet the Freeman family one day. My faith has been renewed, my family has been saved, and my life is leading a different path as we speak. I was also in a store today and wanted a sign from God that Kayleigh was going to be okay so I stopped in the store and said a silent prayer and He responded in this way:

I walked by a little plaque that read: Every yesterday is a memory of happiness and every tomorrow is a vision of hope.

I then came across another little plaque that read: Be still and know that I am God. Trust and have faith in me.

God is good and Kayleigh is a miracle, THANKS be to God for everything he does.

I couldn't give much, but just donated $25. I'm so touched by what everyone is doing! This is amazing! It's so great that everyone's emailing Oprah & Ellen...I emailed them before it was mentioned here in the comments because my mom mentioned how cool that would be. Then, within hours of me writing them, everyone started to write about doing that here! We're all working together so well in getting this little miracle's story out there! I'll continue emailing them!

Cathy,

What a wonderful person you are. I wish we had the money to do the same. God will truly bless you, for helping the Freeman's in this way. You truly are one with an amazing heart. We all thank you for doing what we wish we could do ourselves.

Katie - and everyone else -

I'm no different than any of you. This is the first year in my 33 years on earth that I've been blessed to the point to not have to worry about money. God has blessed our new business and our family and our health this past year. He's led us to find and purchase our dream home -

One year ago - we has just a few hundred dollars in our bank account. We lived paycheck to paycheck -

8 years ago, I too sat in the NICU for months and months - and had such an amazing outcome with my daughter.

I'm giving to them what I can afford - which is what all of you have done. I'm NO different. AND - TO BE HONEST... I had a blast doing it.

I watched the show "Secret Millionaire" last week - and told Brandt that THAT is my new goal in life... to be able to help people like they do.

Whats "interesting" is that if 250 people gave $25 a month - that is just over $6,000 a month. Which is VERY much an amount a family of 5 could live on. Something to think about.. imagine if 250 people did that once a month for the next 6 months... this family would have nothing financially to worry about!!!

I promise to give $50.00 per month, that is what I can afford and I pray that others can help as best as they can. If we can all do this, the Freeman's can pay their bills and they won't loose their home and car. We all love them very much and want only the best for them. Sidney and George my 2 little preemies 1 is 2 and 1 is now 5 months can wait a while for a college fund to start. Our Lord and Savior promises to provide, and sometimes that is through others that can give.
