3/10/08 - GIVEAWAY UPDATE

Leelou Blogs

After one full week of the donation/giveaway event for the Freeman family, we are sad to say that we are extremely far away from reaching our goal. We need everyone's help, so here are a few ideas on how we can get there VERY easily.

1. First, and most importantly, pray about it. What do you think you can do for the Freemans? It may not seem like much to you, but to them it may be just what they need to get them through the day. And coupled with everyone else's "not very much" it may make a phenomenal amount!

2. There are 1256 followers right now on Kayleigh's blog. If every single one of us gave $20, that would equal $25,120. All we have to do is skip an extra lunch out & we will be helping to save someone's family from financial ruin. It really is that easy.

3. If every single one of us would refer just one friend that would also donate $20, we could raise an amazing $50,240. Remember, for each and every referral you will be entered into the Mark 16:15 Referral Package for FREE. You would have birthday gifts for a year to give to your friends!

4. If you aren't in a position to donate financially, all you have to do is refer people that can. You still get the entries into the Mark 16:15 Referral Package and you could walk away with tons of FREE stuff AND know that you still made a huge difference. You could even tell your friends that you will share the package with them. You know, a Thoughtful Thursday thing, right?

5. Don't stop there. Post the blog site www.Give4Kayleigh.blogspot.com on message boards that you belong to, on your Myspace pages, Facebook pages, Twitter, email database, etc. I think you get the drift. Let your friends know that they could snag some really cool stuff just for helping out this well deserving family. Make sure that those people know to tell us that you referred them so that you get your FREE entries into the Mark 16:15 Referral Package. The only way to win this package is to refer, refer, refer. Ask your friends to refer as well. The possibilities are endless.

We only have two weeks left and so much ground to cover. Please consider making a donation. Please ask your friends and family to help as well. And, last but not least, pray about it. A little bit of all of those things from each and every person really does add up. We need all of your support.

Thank you so very much!

Aubrey

Freemans:
This makes me a little down this morning. I pray that we all step up to the plate and help this family in need in these next two weeks and blow them away. I have been praying about this and I know God has his hand in it and it will all work out to his glory. Maybe some of you are like me waiting till this weekend for payday. I want to challege everyone like Aubry to spread Kayleigh's word to get the donations coming in and pray that God would lead each and everyone of us to give as we can to this deserving family. Kayleigh has touched me way behind what any words could explain and I hope we can all give a little back to her and her family in this time of need to show our support and faith to them. How is little Miss Kayleigh doing, any word when the next procedure will take place (or will it take place)? I look forward to more wonderful updates soon.

As soon as I my rent check clears I will see if I can buy a ticket. :) Or at least donate the $10.

I would donate $20 but that would leave me $20 for the rest of the month. :(

I could only do 10.00 this week, hopefully next week I'll be able to give more.

If we all just give whatever we can, it will get them that much closer to meeting their goal. If you can't give then just continue to pray and the Lord will touch others to give. God Bless Kayleigh!

Totally. If you can't give but can spread the word, maybe someone you told CAN give and could give "immeasurably more" that you could ever imagine. You never know. :)

If we could all step up with $20, it might help them save their home. Think of that.

I am going to give today! Maybe a recap post... It was kind of confusing with the different packages and referrals and everything. Simpler maybe would be better?

I was able to do some today. I almost didn't do it b/c we are saving every penny, but for what? A down payment on a house we bid on. God put it on my heart to give some to you all, it's not much, but neither is what we have saved, so I gave you all a small percentage. After all, how can I only do for myself when a family in Christ needs help? I pray that more can do the same. We'll be back next payday!

God Bless,
The McGuire Family

God is starting to answer prayer for this. Let's continue to pray folks! :) Every little bit helps. It may not seem like very much to you, but it's the whole world to the Freemans!

I think its is absolutly WONDERFUL!!! I am only a teenager, but I've been following this blog and I've talked to my family and I think it'd be great to give and so do they. But quite honestly, I wouldn't do it for the prize, I don't think many people would. I think we would just so sweet kayleigh could go home to see her nursery. I'll donate as soon as I can!!!

(Quite honestly...if I did win by some miracle I wouldn't be able to accept it, the prize that kayleigh is alive and so strong is enough for me!)

I thought Adam said they cannot save the house at this point because its too late. can you clarify that please Adam?

Unless a miracle happens, but unfortunately it doesn't look like that is going to happen. We are going to keep hope and pray that God will lead us in the right direction. We trust in Him that He will :)

God Bless,

Adam

Aimee and Adam -

I have been a silent reader of your blog for months now. I look forward to all the updates and the beautiful pictures of your little girl. She is AMAZING, and so are you both for the faith and the strength that you have. I truly do hope that a miracle happens and you can keep your home...I am sure that there are many memories there. The idea of losing your home must be devastating, but yet I am sure you are waiting for the next door that GOD will open for you. I have donated some money today for that cause..or for however you feel the money should be spent that best suits your family! Best of luck to you both and keep smiling and praising GOD! You are an amazing family :)

Just donated $20. I challenge anyone else to match me. Sorry Aimee and Adam, wish I could do so much more, but as with many of us, money is tight. I will see what I can do in 2 weeks when all the bills aren't due.

Much love and prayers,
Jenn

I posted a link on my Facebook Status...Donated what I could yesterday ...praying everyday! I'll leave the link up as long as I have to! Hang in there :)

I hope this doesn't sound rude or foward, but I'm wondering if you could just put the number out there...how much do you need to save the house?

Sometimes putting the actual number out into the universe can yield astounding results.

I pray every day for all of you, for Kayleigh to come home healthy, and for your home to be saved.

im so sorry that i cannot donate any money to your cause at this time, my husband lost his job and my job barely makes ends meet for our family now. we are struggling and have no one to help bail us out. But please know that you have my prayers for now. im sorry it makes me feel awful that i cannot donate especially when you post that you arent getting enough donations from all of us. sorry again to let you down.
