9/28/08 - Keep The Good Days Coming :)

I am going to give you a quick update as today was another great day. Kayleigh has gone up on her feeds and she is currently at 10mls every three hours. This is the most she has had in such a short period of time. Before, she would be getting this much over an hour or three hours on continuous feeds. She is tolerating it very well and actually had a small poop this afternoon.

Things are going really well. The only tough part is Kayleigh's throat is raw as can be. Having that tube from the vent in for so long has made her lose any kind of sound in her voice. So now she turns beat red and the mouth comes wide open, but no sound comes out. Not that I would rather hear her cry like crazy, but it sad to see that it is bothering her. She will be back and loud in no time. ha-ha!

I took some video to share with everyone. It has been a while since I have added one to the blog, so I felt the need to do it while Aimee was feeding and burping her. Kayleigh was so cute because she was so wide eyed and active. We were able to catch her in some precious moments.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

God Bless,

The Freemans :)

I loved the video. She has grown so much. What a precious little princess. So glad to hear she is doing so good. My little man is 3 months also and he loves to have his milk run down his chin too. LOL. To cute.

Hi,

Normally I would not come to you for a prayer. But I really, really need one. I am 36 weeks pregnant at this time and while if my DD was born at this time, she may or may not be okay. I almost had her over the weekend and it put a shock into my DH and I. We are asking for prayers to let her bake a few more days. Our doctor wants us to at least get to the 37 week mark and possibly to the 38 week mark.

I had the shots of Betamethasone and Terbutaline, which wasn't a good feeling. This after thinking my water broke early Saturday which was also my birthday. So please pray that our DD stays in and bakes a little longer.

Also, wanted to say how adorable Kayleigh looks to be getting. Maybe the breastmilk was the fix?? I was over here doing the Poopy Dance for you guys and I'm glad she got a big poopy.

She is doing great. Love the video as well.

Our God is a awsome God! Thank You for kayleigh and her family. What beautiful blessings we have. Oh and I think I can see the brunette in her starting to shine through. Another prayer answered.

She is so beautiful and perfect!! What an adorable baby Kayleigh is!!

I feel so sorry that her throat is in such bad shape. I have been thinking about that all along with that tube in her mouth and the one in her nose too. That oxygen tears you up. Look out for thrush too.

Glad everything is going so great. She looks awesome! To hear the joy in your voices is so nice.

Still praying,
Pennie

She is so darn cute. And you can see she is starting to gain weight, it looks like her arms are getting a little chubby! Everytime I see her, I just want to scoop her up and hold her.

You're doing a great job Kayleigh! Prayers being said so that her little throat starts feeling better soon.

Thank you for sharing that video. It just warms my heart to see Kayleigh being loved and fawned over. All the worry, prayers, and effort that you and your medical team have put into your little girl...it just shows the value of a precious life such as hers. It's so wonderful to see her thriving.
